We thought we had dodged the "climb out of the crib bullet" as Ethan really didn't show any interest in it and we even thought he was too tubby to make it work! Cole mastered the task at a mere 16 months and it turned into a nightmare. We were wrong about our chunk of love! As soon as he wanted to he could scale the rails as fast as any skinny kid. We wondered if he was old enough for a toddler bed so we tried this.....
It didn't work. He would cry and scream for hours until he finally fell asleep on the floor in front of the door and then we would wake him up as we tried to open the door and it started all over again. We also didn't appreciate the middle of the night wanderings so we moved to the tent! I had massively guilty feelings about this but for not!
The first few days took a little adjustment and he wasn't too happy about it.....

Now it works like a charm! Thank you crib tent manufactures! He can still climb out if it isn't zipped up....

but for the most part we have our excellent sleeper back!

Don't feel guilty for one moment about keeping Ethan in his crib. He can't be wandering around after hours.
The Ks had to resort for K6 because she wouldn't stay in her bed. She paved the way for the others to have the same opportunity. The tent crib works!
I think you will all sleep better now.
Love, Grandma Mattie
My niece had one of those. I'll probably have to have one for Parker. He is such a busy baby.
