The Park and Snoqualmie Falls

We have a few Spiderman fans in the group so the "web" park was a hit!

Snoqualmie Falls is always a must see favorite.

Cousin Shayne's

Our cousin Shayne lives in Kingston, a town you have to get to by Ferry! The boys were happy to be on a boat and we enjoyed the trip over.

We had a great time eating and playing in the garden.

Flight Museum, The Space Needle and a Mariner's game

We visited the Flight Museum, Space Needle and hit a Mariner's game.

The Mariners game. As soon as the food was gone all the boys were interested in were the train tracks near the stadium! We spent a fair amount of time watching them go by. This is probably the last family Mariner's game for at least this year!

The Beach

The beach has to be one of our favorite activities. We went to two different beaches on two very beautiful days! It was our favorite activity because the boys played and played and played. We spent hours outside in the sun and sand. We were even able to find a few sea creatures as the tide was out when we first got there at both places. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for dinner over a fire pit.

The Serpentarium and Children's Museum

We have a very cool serpentarium that houses all kinds of reptiles and snakes. They have quite a large collection including 10 of the most poisonous snakes, a two headed turtle and an albino alligator! They also let you hold the snakes which the boys loved.

Swimming and water play

We got to go swimming a few times and played outside with the hose. I think the boys spent hours on the swing set as well.

My sister and I live miles away so every year we try to spend some time together. This year it was her turn to visit me. Our tight quarters made for some good close times! We went all over Seattle and played hard everyday. Four boys together makes life a little crazy! There was a lot of love, fights, playing and learning funny things from each other. Please beware an onslaught of posts is about to begin!

The very fun bears. This is the best bear exhibit I have ever seen! The bears come into the water and play right in front of you.

What to do when it is sunny in May

This week we enjoyed the heat wave that hit Seattle! I do have to admit, I have turned into a heat wimp and when my house reached 82 degrees I thought to myself for just one small second, why can't it be a little cooler? Saying that, I will take heat wave over rain anyday. We enjoyed being outside all week. We are all a little tanner and our hair has gotten a little blonder. We....hit the park, and again, and again, went swimming, played with friends outside, swung, swang and swung some more (fyi, both swung and swang are grammatically correct), and went to the dog park! Crazy enough, it is even sunny again today!

A change wind is blowing

Driving home from the airport after our trip Matt received a phone call. He had been accepted into the MBA program at the University of Washington! It will probably mean that a few things are going to change around here. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it.

11 minutes faster!

This year I have been training to do more triathlons and a half marathon. My friend Amy and I randomly signed up for a sprint triathlon this week to get the season started. It happened to be the same course that I did last year and my time was 11 minutes faster! I have to report, after taking two swim lessons this spring I was NOT last out of the water. WHOOHOO!
