Summer activities

We had a fabulous summer this year. I loved spending so much time in Utah. When we came home we got busy.....

Picking blueberries and trying several blueberry recipes!

I made chile rellenos, which was a ton of work, but very delicious!

We went to Gas Works Park with friends and flew kites!

We stayed up late every night so sometimes the boys had to take a nap in the car!

Cole turns 6 and Ethan turns 4!

The boys had a fabulous birthday this year which I was out of town for. We threw together a quick party at Chucke Cheese with some friends before I left, I got their presents ready and treats for school,  and then Matt took care of the rest!

Blowing out the candles on the cupcakes

The friends, Bradley, Jake and Jack.

Ethan got a two-wheeled scooter and Cole got a bigger bike! He was excited that he could go faster without pedaling so much, it had a kickstand and hand breaks!

They spent their actual birthday at my friends house (their friends as well) and then went to Red Robin for dinner with Matt. The dinner was going well until the Red Robin bird came out and Ethan decided he didn't like him....

Soccer

Both boys played soccer this fall and they both really enjoyed it!

Cole liked it even more after he scored his first goal! Matt got to help out with the coaching.

First day of kindergarten!

Cole went to kindergarten today! So far his report is: He went to recess, he had a snack, he is supposed to walk in the halls in a single file and he met the music teacher who is a man, but he didn't think men were teachers!

Tess at four months

Tess weighed in at 14 lbs and 26 inches long. She can now roll over front to back and back to front. She loves to grab her toes and suck on them.

She learned how to stick out her tongue and does it all the time!

She grabs everything she can reach!

Cancun!

To celebrate 10 glorious years of wedded bliss we went to Cancun. We LOVED it! Matt's brother Aaron and his wife Candice came with us. With the great company, beautiful beaches, delicious food, ruin tours and animals all over the place it accumulated to a fabulous time.
This was the view from our hotel room!

This monkey was so cute. He was trained to give high fives!

Fish head anyone?

Resident iguana at the hotel.

Resident turtles at the hotel.

Tess got her first eye infection in Mexico! We had to take her to the doctor to get something to clear it up.

Wilson Family Reunion

My family this year decided to try and pull off a family reunion! Considering it was our first one I think it was a huge success.
*We took family photos. We had all members except for one nephew that went on a 50 miler! My kids were making faces, biting their nails or not looking at the camera!

*We ate lunch at Brick Oven.
*Everyone hiked Stewart Falls except a few of us stayed behind.

*We rode motorcycles and fourwheelers. The kids found the mud holes and played in them for most of the day!

*We ended the night with breakfast. We had pancakes, whip cream and strawberries along with omelets, eggs, and bacon. It was delicious.

UTAH!

We did our annual trip to Utah this year and the kids and I stayed for 5 weeks! It was loads of fun and we got to see everyone in our family this year. We also got to avoid being in the rain for the month of July in Seattle!
Some highlights included:

*4th of July in Myton!

*Lots of family dinners and get togethers.

*Swimming lessons that taught Ethan how to swim!

*The Lindon Pool.

*Lots of dogs to play with all day long.

*Cousins, cousins, cousins and more cousins! The kids have a total of 57 now.

*A trip to the Salt Lake Temple. I took the 3 kids with Matt's family and it ended up being quite hilarious with a nursing baby, lots of kids running around (mostly boys), Ethan stubbing a toe, eating at the LionHouse Pantry and  ended with a parking ticket on my car!

*Matt took Cole river rafting and he LOVED it!

My family used to river raft with another family growing up and it always included a large waterfight! This year did not disappoint in that department.
 *The Hogle Zoo

Everyone remembers the lion water fountain!

*And we did so much playing that sometimes we just couldn't stay awake any longer!
