As part of his MBA program Matt got to spend two weeks in Ghana. It was an amazing life experience! He got to sight see as well as meet with different businesses and even the ex-VP of the country. He also got to go to church and do a temple session while he was there. Here are some of the highlights:
They visited a gold mine.
They went out to Obuasi where they have the slave trade castles. This is the "point of no return."
The coast where they would put the slaves on boats.
One of the castles.
They went to a rain forest reserve where they climbed on suspension bridges through the forest. Unfortunately they didn't see any animals!
This is a memorial for the leader who helped give Ghana independence from England.
He is buried here.
