A visit from Uncle Bubba and family

Matt's brother (that looks just like him) came up for a visit with his family. They have four kids and two boys just a year younger than ours. We had a great time with them and the kids played and played and played. We went to the zoo, to the beach, to the lake and celebrated the fourth with them. We also sent them to a few other places to check out.

A visit from Aunt Kathy

My sister came out to run the Rock and Roll Marathon! We enjoyed spending time with baby Payton and her husband dave.

She had a tough race but finished. It made me a little bit jealous as I saw her running in to finish.

We stopped by the Fremont Troll as we were scouting out her run.

It wouldn't be a visit with my family if we didn't take the treck out to Kingston on the ferry for a visit with our cousin Shayne.

All banged up!

The other night we had a new family from our ward over for dinner. They were just about to leave when Ethan came in bleeding all over. He had a run in with the cement off his scooter on our steep driveway. It so happens that the husband is an orthopedic surgeon. He offered to take Ethan down to his office and do the stitches! We agreed and he came home with this some sterile strips all lined up.

He had been at the doctors office 3 times already for a sore on his cheek that he has had for four months. We thought he looked hilarious with bandaids all over his face!

He had to put on a waterproof bandaid to swim!

Swimming lesssons

We like to start the summer out by taking swimming lessons! The sun didn't get the memo that it was summer so most of our lessons were in the rain. The boys didn't seem to mind. They will take any opportunity to swim.

Ethan's "swim lessons" were in the kiddy pool. He loved playing around.

Cole made a lot of progress this year. He can swim all over the pool like a maniac! He LOVES to swim. If only we could get him to use a little technique we would be golden!

Camping at Sun Lake

The sun decided to hide itself for all of April, May and June so we decided to find it at Sun Lake. It did not disapppoint and we had a great time with our friends, playing at the lake, relaxing in the sun and playing a little boche.

Brotherly Love

The boys are growing up so much! They are becoming really good friends. They talk together all the time and play with each other all day long.

Father and Sons Campout

Matt took both boys to the campout this year. I kept holding my breath for the rain to cease and it magically did at their campsite. The boys loved it, played hard, came home dirty and can't wait to go again next year!

They used the set up tents this year which made things easier.

Cole graduates from preschool!

After a rigorous year at Five Bright Stars Preschool Cole graduates much smarter and brighter than before!

Mother's Day

The tradition in our family is that you get the day off for Mother's day. Matt let me sleep in, made french toast for breakfast, and managed the kids for the entire day! He barbequed steak for dinner and even made angel food cake for dessert. It was nice to have a day of leisure.

A Fancy Dinner and Concert

Our friends the Elenbaas's treated us to a fancy dinner and concert. We enjoyed the steak, sides and especially banana's foster! Matt with some yummy food in his mouth!

Tiff came to town for the weekend.

Shelley and I were both sick so we doped up on some Tussin before the show! The picture was taken right after a bird pooped on my shoulder. Nice eh?
